Avispa

Fall 2007:  Avispa was adopted by Marilyn Gardner. Marilyn is a Three Gaits volunteer and this is their first horse.

  • Breed: Argentinian Polo Pony (Thoroughbred)
  • Height: 15.1 Hands High

  • Arrived at Three Gaits: May 2003
  • School Horse Specialty: Avispa is a great horse for volunteers to learn to lead because she is very obedient and sweet. She also has very smooth gaits.
  • Previous Life: Avispa was used for playing polo. She was very good at the game because she was athletic and focused.
  • Did you know?: Avispa has a tattoo on her hindquarters of the number 26. She also did not eat treats when she first came, but she has learned to enjoy carrots and apples.
