Our School Horses

Johnny

August 2016:  Johnny was a special horse and fit in our program almost immediately upon his arrival. His long lanky build, forward walk and smooth trot made him a favorite of some of our taller riders. Unfortunately last winter Johnny developed uveitis (a painful condition characterized by swelling in the horses eye) that, even though treated aggressively, caused him significant discomfort and a loss of vision. We made the difficult decision to retire Johnny and had a family step forward almost immediately to offer a permanent loving home for him. While we miss Johnny here at Three Gaits, we know hes in wonderful hands and enjoying his new home!
